TogetherCocoa is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-Marie Delon as Managing Director Côte d'Ivoire.
Jean-Marie Delon joins the TogetherCocoa Foundation with more than sixteen years of experience in the cocoa sector. He spent nearly ten years at Cargill West Africa, where he held a range of responsibilities across sustainability and government relations.
In 2023, he joined the Office of the Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire as Senior Agricultural Expert and coordinator of the Delivery Unit overseeing implementation of the National Strategy for Sustainable Cocoa. There he tracked the sector's priority projects and contributed to the preparatory work for the 2025-2030 strategy.
That career has given him an unusually complete command of the cocoa sector, its economics and its public policy priorities. TogetherCocoa has chosen to put this experience to work as it builds its presence in Côte d'Ivoire.
In entrusting him with the leadership of its activities in the country, TogetherCocoa has chosen a profile that connects sector expertise, an understanding of public policy, and practical knowledge of the ground. Jean-Marie Delon will be responsible for strengthening the Foundation's strategic partnerships and driving its development in Côte d'Ivoire.

Jean-Marie Delon rejoint la Fondation TogetherCocoa après plus de seize ans d’expérience dans le secteur du cacao. Il a notamment passé près de dix ans chez Cargill West Africa, où il a exercé plusieurs responsabilités dans les domaines de la durabilité et des relations gouvernementales.
En 2023, il rejoint le Cabinet du Premier ministre de Côte d’Ivoire comme expert agricole senior et coordinateur de l’unité de suivi de la mise en œuvre de la Stratégie nationale pour un cacao durable (Delivery Unit). Il y contribue notamment au suivi des projets prioritaires du secteur et aux travaux préparatoires de la stratégie 2025-2030.
Ce parcours lui donne aujourd’hui une connaissance particulièrement complète de la filière, de ses enjeux économiques comme de ses priorités publiques. C’est cette expérience que la Fondation TogetherCocoa a souhaité mettre au service de son développement en Côte d’Ivoire.
En lui confiant la direction de ses activités dans le pays, la Fondation fait le choix d’un profil capable de relier expertise sectorielle, compréhension des politiques publiques et connaissance du terrain. Jean-Marie Delon aura pour mission de renforcer les partenariats stratégiques de la Fondation et d’accompagner son développement en Côte d’Ivoire.
